Comic Cat postcards published by Mainzer are Funny.
Eugen Hartung, the artist, was brilliant. You can study each one for a while before you find all the subtile humor embedded in the image.
They are also interesting for the stereotyping of boy & girl roles.
Finally, they have a very European feel to them. The are lots of window boxes with flowers.

We have collected and photographed about 300 of these comic cat postcards. We especially collected the oldest ones, published by Kunzli, and the deckle cut cards published in Belgium.
We expect Mainzer cats to be one of the first sites we develop using Bricks builder.
